I was absolutely fascinated by this wallpaper, it's beautifully colorful, and capture what I remember of a distinctive sunset from my homeland (thank you for that wonderful reminiscent). My favorite aspect is the wonderful display of colors, the intense brush strokes and the composition, everything fits perfectly. I really enjoy what you've created here, the character and her surrounding presents a wonderful blend of a majestic atmosphere, and the result is a beautifully, lyrical image that is mysterious and open-ended, foreshortened and elastic. Admirable work!

Procrastination FTW~~
So LJ kindly reminded me that Tofu's birthday was coming up. And since I was getting nowhere with work, I decided that walling her a prezzie would be much more worth it. :3 So.. Happy early Birthday, Tofu! We might not be super-close, but it's been great knowing you~ I'm sorry this is not Muse, I didn't think I could do Muse or Link justice. >_<
I flailed through scans and finally found one that I could wall: THIS.
Idea? I basically just retraced the girl-and-cat duo, then messed around with the background. The final result is not what I expected, but it's happier and has textures, so YAY. The theme is.. very unplanned, but it's supposed to be like "go with the seasons, follow the flow that springs forth, la di la". Ahem. Fantasy landscapes again, because that's how I flow~ :P
The strange blobs were supposed to be strange blobs. lol then they started looking like city-from-above, for a while.
Now they just look like strange blobs again. Erm. Made a few versions, with the blobs and the original scan's layer
edited out.. Red boots for Wizard-of-Oz reference lol. She's walking her way home, on the road not paved gold..
Textures are all from the same scan because I'm too lazy to look for more... :P
Resolution is 2560x1600 because that seems to be the one that Tofu walls. :x
