1920x1200 Wallpaper
I made this wallpaper because I really like this image. <3
I scanned this image from my volume of this
manga and since I see it I knew that I wanted to do something with this scan. So I start cleaning the scan to look
like a vector.
Initially I just wanted to do an Indy Art, but later I made this wallpaper inspirited by this photo that I encounter in the blog of the mangaka,
Aoki Kotomi.
So I start by do the "do not sing" thing. I used the same color and the same design.
After I did the "do not sing" thing, I painted the scan to look like the image in the photo, so I used the
same colors. And because it was a t-shirt (in the photo) I wanted to give the impression, in the wallpaper, that it is a
t-shirt too.
Then, when I finish the wallpaper, I made a post on
“The Sandbox” on the forum of MT, to see suggestions and ideas of other members. Thanks to duhqueenmoki and aozoraskies for the suggestions. ;) Because the scan didn’t have the
complete image (it has some part of the hair and arm cut off) aozoraskies suggest that the wallpaper would look better if it didn’t had
missing parts. And duhqueenmoki suggest do put a
shadow do made it look more like a t-shirt.
Then I started to make the parts that were missing of the hair and arm, colored, and finish the wallpaper like it is
now.
I don’t really know the exact time that take me to finish this wallpaper, but it was 8-10 hours, I think.
And I don’t really use any layers, so I didn’t use any in this wallpaper. :/
Sorry for my bad English and I hope I describe correctly how to I made this wallpaper. =D
update: I remade the shoulder, like aozoraskies

I think you did a REALLY good job cleaning the scan and I love the simplicity of it. I think the word 'sing' needs to be nudged to the left slightly. Because even if it's not, it APPEARS off center.
I might also suggest making another version with maybe a light, desaturated, paper texture on top. =3

As I said, the reconstruction for her hair is great, it looks natural. :3 I just noticed that her shoulder is a bit
angular though >_< Should have noticed earlier. Make it a little rounder? Then it's more or less perfect.

The design and colors here are lovely + congratz on your first wall! I'm amazed that you did this with no layers, it must've been very tedious o3o
