OMGWAT IT'S DUAL WIDESCREEN WHO ACTUALLY HAS THIS RIDICULOUS RESOLUTION ROFL (@AP:7680×4800

it's the hibernationcat! Passing through for a bit of project promotion, hai thar, put up with this old geezer for a bit more kthx.

This is a promotional wall for Six For Tea Wallers for Japan Disaster Relief. flyin' invited me to the project, and I think we're halfway to the target amount!

The video process is here > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTHoPnK4Z00

While I do like crit, on deviantArt there has recently been a storm of massive dArama about the Tsunami issue. Someone even told me (will not mention who) that this is 'insensitive' because it's too happy, so it makes me look like I'm happy because the tsunami happened... I think that was the first time I wanted to seriously hurt a person, but anyway if someone is thinking along similar lines, I'd advise you to look at redjuice's HAPPYDESU art for the Pray for JAPAN from JAPANESE CREATOR vol.01, as well as the other creator's work.

I don't want to show the destruction that happened. Others have shown that. Pictures of the scene clearly show that. I want to be able to cheer up those who have suffered in the Tsunami, and that is what this wallpaper is about.

on a more cheerful note, this girl's design as well as the wallpaper are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License; aka you may use this wallpaper yourself and use the girl in your own wallpapers as long as you credit me as the original artist, and if you want to make me happy credit the SIXFORTEA project as well.

Lots of thanks to Yina and tatekane for crits, this wall wouldn't exist without you two!

NOTE: for people with more reasonable resolutions, this wallpaper is on KISUKI.net as usual. Since I resized the files myself they are optimized and are possibly higher quality than the autoresized ones here.

This is beautifully done and embodies the "you can do it!" spirit we all know that Japan has. ^_^ Anyone who thinks this is insensitive obviously
    1. didn't read your description
    2. seems to think that just because disaster happened everyone has to be depressed about it.

Lovely job Tsu, and best of luck to the 6 for Tea family! ^_^

Yet again another wall for Japan, and this time it has the "Japan feel" in it. Very lovely, you did a great job at this, particularly the effect of the castle on the kimono, somehow it reminds me of Gankutsuou.

    Anyway, great job! ^_^

So much epicness here....should be illegal

This is so gorgeous! And those details on the kimono are stunning! O__o

And about this being insensitive and too happy, I don't see it that way; it looks more encouraging than anything else, and right now, I think that's what those people need the most. Great job, Tsu!

  9. ngakyuklim Apr 25, 2011

the colours in her kimono is just amazing! o.o seriously!

  10. kagehikari Apr 25, 2011

I've read alot about negative feedback alot of artist where getting, quite frankily; I don't get it.
People were making art concerning all the recent disasters and this is the first time I'm hearing people bitch.
I think it's very unfair to the artist, obviously we're showing support the best way we can...and to be critic
for it and try to make it seem like it's under negative intentions...just stupid.

But anyway, regarding this; it's gorgeous. The vibrant colors along with the dimmed, almost
defeated tidal wave she's strongly standing in really gives the message of "Victory!".
And it's very empowering I think, which is something people need after disasters like this.
    Fantastic work Tsu <3

Great job! The kimono looks gorgeous, and I love how you almost made it look like some of the cranes aren't part of her kimono.

Also, it's alovely thought! Not insensitive at all- more encouraging than anything else.

  14. x-lawss Apr 25, 2011

Ah an other wall from you! And yes her kimono had the most attention here.

I always loved your walls, Tsunoh, they're so arty! Ganbare yo!

  17. mbeckley Apr 25, 2011

It's exquisite Tsunoh...*blush*..I love how you made one crane fly off from the sleeve of her colorful kimono.. Very creative..
I see..I don't see this as a "happy" wallpaper like that someone said.. I see a strong girl with a hopeful, positive expression and presence. That's what I feel from your wallpaper: hope and strength.
Wonderful job Tsunoh. Looks great on the background of my cellphone. Hehe. :)
