So, since I've got time now and more of your delicious wallpapers are staring me in the face, I'll take the time to comment on this one before I disappear back into the ether.
First off, if you hadn't made mention that this was a Vocaloids wallpaper, I wouldn't of ever guessed. It's also probably the reason I like it so much, since I tend to immediately turn a blind eye to anything Vocaloid related due to it's strong, constant presence. Considering you state that it was "nothing special", to me, it's well beyond that. The scan itself was altered in such a lovely way and I really love what you did with her hair as well, which I personally feel was the strongest part about the scan (along with the tears). My only recommendation would be to work with the text a bit more to fit the headphone, maybe perhaps in a curve manner, but considering this is something you quickly put together it's truly gorgeous!
Added in with the fact that I absolutely adore the simple yet exquisite background. Seriously, anyone who likes to use brushes should take note of what you do with your work. The colors are very harmonious and the rippling effect of the reflection of the sun was a beautiful idea that turned out fantastic. I dare say that if you just created a focal piece of the background itself and made a few changes, that alone would have such a strong impact.
I envy the fact that you say you quickly put something like this together, when it looks like a lot of hard work and time were invested into it. It's beautiful, and has a deep impact to it as well. Very well done!
