Artist Comment
This was born from a burning need I had on November 30 to do something else for Ulquiorra's birthday. After writing a One-shot and doing the chibi-birthday card, I still wanted to do something else, and this one came to my mind. I made some rough sketches at school, then asked my mom which one she liked better and she picked the one with this pose (I liked that one too) And here it is.
It took me the whole afternoon to get him done. My sister got mad at me and kept saying "His face sucks" which got me pretty discouraged (I reckon it kinda does). I had to alter the original pose because his right arm just wouldn't work. I think I messed up the perspective and proportions. I still like him though, the finishing touches did magic.
I love the Lanza del Relámpago. I tried to give it a glowy effect with the smugdyness and it came out just the right
way. Just avoid looking at the crotch. I had no idea of what I was doing there, since I was basing the body parts on my
Manga Volume 40 ("Oh! This panel shows a close-up to the tail! Now I know how to draw the tail!") but there
ain't one single panel that shows a decent full-body shot. So I invented it. It looks like he's wearing pants.
