Promo wall for Six for Tea: Wallers for Japan Disaster Relief:
I know that many people have given quite generously to various charities and fundraisers for disaster relief efforts in Japan. Adding to the fact that it's been over a month since the March 11 earthquake hit Japan, I'm both amazed and moved by people's ongoing support and contributions for this little fundraiser of ours. Not just in donations, although that is of course huge, but also in time spent promoting and walling for the project, all of which has been incredible to witness.
So, to everyone who has contributed to Six for Tea in some way, shape, or form - thank you so much. We've raised nearly half of our $500 target for Mercy Corps; please continue to support Six for Tea as we march closer to our fundraising goal!
As for the wall, this was a fairly simple design that turned out surprisingly well. I vectored the outlines of the paper cranes off of a Stock.XCHNG photo, added two gorgeous paper textures from Bashcorpo and one from Dioma, then topped off with two of my favorite grunge brushes from deviantART. Special thanks to Gids, partner-in-crime extraordinaire for looks and suggests.

nicely done, I enjoy the "faded" look of the flag of japan accented nicely with the cranes. gives hope that even tattered and torn the flag will still fly. Japan isn't out of trouble yet, but with the help of many a few can survive. always enjoy your work and can't wait for the next piece to travel by :)

Loved the combination between the tsurus and the grunge style, for me it means that the Hope is surging from the destroyed places and faith of everyhting will be okay. :)

I must say this truly is unique! Using the concept of cranes -- well cranes are highly symbolic bird for the Japanese culture after all; I thought it gives that sense of hope and that there will still be positive outcomes after the tragedy. :)
I hope people who'll come to see this wallie of yours will continue to highly appreciate Japan as a whole, and inspire everyone, as it did me. Keep up the good work! ^_^

Nice! Recently i learnt how to make cranes... although it is a little difficult, the result deserves the effort.
