Irresponsible Captain Tylor Wallpaper: The Fool on the Hill

"The Fool on the Hill sees the sun going down, and the eyes in his head see the world spinning 'round..."

I recently re-watched all of "Irresponsible Captain Tylor" after screening the first few eps at a local con and fell in love with it all over again. At some point I saw a connection between some of Tylor's attitude and the Beatles' "Fool on the Hill" from "Magical Mystery Tour." I'm probably going to try to make an AMV using this combination sometime as well, but after running across a beautiful scan of Tylor I felt compelled to make a wall with a similar theme.

I'm quite pleased with this round of star-field-making, but I'm not sure if I'm happy with the cityscape as it stands. It definitely adds something to the piece, both composition-wise and theme-wise, but the overall quality is lacking, I know. I can't draw buildings worth crap, and I couldn't find any good tutorials on the subject, so I played with a whole bunch of silhouettes till I got something that looked passable. Since they aren't the main focus, I guess they don't detract too much, but still... Plus I wonder if the text is too distracting...
