The problem with the shading is that certain parts of her face which are turned away from the window are lit anyway. If the only lightsource here were the window her entire left half would have to be in the shade.

Well haven't made a dark wall in a while so yeah....
First worked on the BG, which took a while but was worth it. Got a wall texture and and made it less realistic, got a window brush from deviantart. The moon and cloud brush I got @brusheezy.com then yada yada yada, worked on the BG :D
I didn't vector the character myself, I can't vector too well and I don't have much time for it anyways. The vector can be found here: The Breaker
Time: 3-4 hours.
Layers: (about) 30
The shadow looks a little weird I think but it's because it's the shadow that comes from the window.
NOTE: looks MUCH better when in fullview :)
In alt. version I removed the shadows on her face and added blood splatters to the wall.

The background works well for the character and the overall atmosphere is quite eerie but the shading looks a bit odd thus leave the wallpaper looking flat. Aside from that, this is pretty decent work.

The background is nice but the character has no coloring. There is no skin tone or eye coloring and adding shadows adds to the confusion of having no color. To color you should just color where you want then add multiply to the layer (if you use photoshop).
