Mai and her Pet Dragon....I just LOVE this girl...Enjoy!
This thing was really tough to make...First, the original had a big redline in the half, and many details like the dragons face, eye, Meis bracelet, Meis arm were lost in the scan so I had to redraw those....also, there were TONS of text and screenshots covering the image so I had to removed them...I think the toughest part to remove the letters were from the fire...all of it took me a couple of hours.
You can compare it with the original scan and have fun checking what I had to do to redraw and clean it up...:)

Ouch! I am not certain what was more painful --- your having to clean up the scan or that dagger plunged through the dragon's head.....
Seriously, this is another great image. Another example of such complete scrubbing that I am unable to tell this was NOT how it originally appeared.
Since I am unfamiliar with the series, are the bracelets how Mai communicates/controls the dragon?.... :D

Nice job! Maybe you should try extending the background a bit so that you can crop it in a way that doesn't have the borders though ~_~ Oh, and the clone brush gets a little carried away in the upper left corner. Looks great overall!

*sigh* the dream of owing a pet dragon...wait that'd be hard to tame....something so wild.... But what I love most about that dragon is it looks robotized....Its been awhile since I've seen My HiME I need to watch it again......Anyways! First off you seem to be doing ALOT of work fixing up scans......as always Mr. Toon you show just how professional you are with your work by making it look SO DAMN good! Just simply showing off your superior walling abilities and have made this amazing wall as a result. I can't agree more, she is ONE heck of a girl....I'm curious to know who you like better.....Agent Papers or Mai O.o Dun dun! (Well at least I like to believe your fav ROD char is Agent Papers, I think you were just a fan of the whole series but lets go with Papers for now =P) Favorite for me hands down, just an amazing work of art.

This is a nice background...however, the scan looks kind of dirty in some places--but maybe that's intentional, to show the heat from the fire/bracelets.
