The vector was difficult because Nunnally wasn't complete on the scan (hair especially), and I finally chose to put her on the right (so my job on creating hair is not visible...)
I've some different ideas for the BG, and chose these 3. I wanted to make a peaceful and sweet atmosphere like her personnality.
For the first version, I tried to create a antique garden. I drew and vectored the colons , all lilies and montains, added a painted sky.
For the second version, I just added a drawn bridge for the gargen.
The lily that Nunally hold in her hand is from a scan of xxxHolic (uploaded by bouinbouin) that I've made the
wall.

For the third version, I thought about something simplier: just a bird (vectored from this photo found on google picture: http://michaelscomments.files.wordpress.com/2007/04/cute-bird.jpg) and branches and cherry blossoms that I first drew.
I finally emphasized on atmosphere in playing with colors, contrast, light and saturation.

Very pretty! I think you did a good job on the vector; aside from a minor spot or two on the hair outlines it looks nice as opposed to flat. The bird was unusual for your walls, and I think it is a nice touch! And have I mentioned how realistic and beautiful your skies are? I also have to say that I like the "third version" the best because the bridge in the background of one of the others looks really flat. Overall, I really like it!

Very nice work on this. I especially love the little bird, he's a nice touch. Nunnally looks very sweet. I like that there's more shading layers on her clothes, I just wish that had extended to her hair, and a little more to the tree. The garden version is okay, but with just the bird is the best.
