hm, i really curious about it....I don't have the game, but I think that the image refers to the episode between Kondou and Serizawa, when men of Serizawa had lit a bonfire to keep warm, just arrived in Kyoto, and when there was no housing for all. . If the episode is this,the man kneeling is Kondou, Serizawa left him long close to the fire, before deciding that Kondo was a man worthy of respect ... in the drama, when Kondou finally gets up , Hijikata,Souji and the others pull up on him buckets of water, and his kimono smoke for the heat ...^_^ ..Bye!

Kondo is quite the man, even though throughout the game it seems we don't get quite so many times to witness it. Then again, if the Shinsengumi loved him so much, that should be enough of an example of how awesome he was ^^

I really loved the drama because the characters' psychology is explained very well, and you realize that the real leader is Kondou, and why he was so loved by his men to death, and beyond . A beautiful character, consistent with his values ??and his code to the end .... the story of the Shinsengumi is immortal, it is unfortunate that in the anime the Kondou was a secondary character..
