Saitou is badass. I almost feel like he should be the lieutenant (don't get me wrong, i like hijikata too) but his
character stands out for me more than the others. =u=b you could say i'm his new fan.
This was inspired by 'Vindicator' by Nysha- i was like 'whoa! hot dude, where's he from?' and i
was introduced to the series XD" /shot
so i started watching the series and i really liked Saitou.
I was looking around for scans of him, and found this
the saitou here caught my attention especially so i decided to do a wall of him
i was trying some gradients on his hair, which might explain why some parts look awkward :\ haha. i was also trying not to go on a burn/dodge spree so some parts might lack shadow or light. feedback is awesome and greatly appreciated.
the background was inspired by this and i thought for this position Saitou was in, he looks like.. a guardian or something XD and i kinda fiddled with his position until i decided to land him there. the tree leaves were fun - i layered many brushes and blended them into the bg (clearly XD)

Hehe, flattered you were inspired by my wall! :D Thanks! Muahaha even more so that it made you want to watch the anime. X3 Saitou's one of the best, isn't he?
I think your wall concept and bg are very nice. :3 I would say Saitou could use some more polishing and details on his face and hair, and the glare from his sword is a bit much - the light is kinda washing out what's behind it. I would use a different blending mode for the glare, or just lessen its opacity. :)
