Well obviously as the title shows, this wallpaper was inspired by Tron :D

I was looking for a good subject to make a Tron wallpaper out of and came across this lovely scan. So I jacked that character and made a background comprised of brushes (which I owe to ShiftyJ at brusheezy) that I could use to make an abstract city. YES IT IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE A CITY.... I know it's hard to tell but yeah >.> the brushes in the BG are supposed to look like buildings of some sort. Then I cropped the hair and made it neon, added the green glow. I also made the green on his uniform neon green to mimic the suits they wear in Tron... All in all a really fun wallpaper :)
I wish I could vector good but I can't :/ so I had to leave the character looking realistic and slightly different from the BG, but if I ever come back to the wally after I can vector good I'll update it :)
I smoothed out his face a little and added a small neon glow to his pupil.

Scan: here
Layers: around 30
Time: Eh... about a week
Brushes: a lot but from the same set, a set made by ShiftyJ@brusheezy

In alt. version I used a different subject found here: war of gensis 3 scan

I find these types of wallpaper very refreshing simply because of the difference in creative output from the usual fully vectored image sometimes accompanied by a fully vectored background. Although most of those are pretty good in their own way (depends on the artist as well) I personally find that it lacks creativity and I think art is, and should be about ones creative output. You definitely have your sense of style and intriguing creative output. Needless to say that I like what you've done with the image and it's/his surrounding, thanks for the alternate version as well!
