WOW! The shading on the hair looks amazing! Love the locket! The colors are so beautiful. And of course, I love the Title/Theme! Very nice wall.

This was my entry for Arete III, I was pretty proud that I came in second place. Go me! Anyway, walled this lovely Kunie scan. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to crop it so that there was a space next to her throat for a locket. I've been wanting to do this wall for ages and this scan finally came along and was perfect. Vectored the scan, then used a ton of gradients on her hair, did gradients for the suggestion of water around her, and then did the locket freehand. I wanted to put a keyhole on the locket but couldn't make it look right. This is the my first wall is a long damn time, school really restricts the time I have for walling, but I got REALLY sick and couldn't go to class and after I was sick of laying down I thought "y'know, I should wall something" and finished this. Inspired, as is often the case, by music. There's a Fall Out Boy song with the line "so wear me like a locket around your throat/I'll weigh you down, I'll watch you choke/you look so good in blue, you look so good in blue" and I've always thought that would make a fabulous wall. At long last, here it is.

For me, one of the best of the competition! I just loved the gradients on the hair and necklace, and the bg with the waves is really calm and peaceful. I just loved it! :3?
