Artist Comment

Just decided to create a quick wall----and here it is. XDDDD.

While I LOVE the surrealism of Yusuke Nakamura's artworks, I also LOVE-d (recently. LOL) the simplicity of the artworks of Kunie Kanbara's! <3333

Hope you like this wall as much as I do! ^^v

A comment, FAVE, DL, comment+FAVE, comment+DL, OR a comment+FAVE+DL would be most appreciated! You know YOU WANT to FAVE it. LOL.

Enjoy. (^3^)

P.S. Oh yeah! I forgot. LOL. Here's the link to the scan that I used: Kunie's ECHO Silly me. (>_<)

I love the colours, and the textures in the background (reminds me of airbrushed graffiti). And also how you extended those circle designs inside the silhouette.

I don't know if I like the uniform outline on the silhouette though. I think it breaks the dynamic flow the the circle designs a bit because it's so uniform. I don't think it needs to be there. If you do want to have an outline, I think it'd be better to make it thicker and more dynamic-width (like in Kunie's art)

The simplicity of the lines and the soft tones of the color palette make this quite interesting, it moves up into one of my favorite modern art pieces. Kunie sensei's work is of course the main reason :) but you've created a simple background that makes me want to have this printed out on a big canvas and put it up in my dorm room ^^

The very first word that comes in my mind when I see this is "dynamism"... maybe it's because there's a lot of life in your wallie? By the way, I've just discovered Kunie Kanbara, and I've already fallen in love with her art.The green background is a very good choice; I can't imagine another color that would have the same effect. Thanks for sharing this amazing piece of work!
