Lazy waller returns~
It’s became a tradition – to post only 1 wallpaper in the end of month, LOL.
I had idea about making simple monochrome wallpaper a long time ago, but can’t to realize it. School days made me
tired and I vectored another Shiki scan from
gallery. But in one “good” day inspiration leaves me and I thought to rest from it and continue working later. In
the same day I saw this beautiful scan and
decided to vector it, but when inspiration come back (that’s because I can’t make good wallies without it). And
three days later this one came to me!
As you seen, I changed wallie’s resolution. I don’t know why, but working with this resolution was easiest that
ever. Btw, I make bad background, so I used black one as in my previous Shiki wallpaper. First I did lineart of
Megumi-chan and Natsuno-kun. Then I did color base and shadings. I thought that after lineart colorization it’ll look
a bit weird, so I decided to make monochrome wallie. Later were funniest experiments with shading/highlighting and
lineart colorization. After finishing them I did correcting of some mistakes (it was so… annoying =___=). 410 layers
(107 of coloring and 303 of lineart ), 5 days of working and wallie totally finished!^^
I’m so tired for posting detailed stats and step-by-step. Maybe I’ll do this later…
Btw, it’s a 2nd entry to CL’s “Tell me what you mean” contest.

I miss a bit of background...You left out a great aspect of a wallpaper. You may not be good in creating backgrounds but you should try to start with the background before getting a fitting scan (unless you already have your ideas set). Maybe it'll help...Maybe not. It's well done though ~

the monochrome itself is really beautiful but just like valuna said, it would be better if you give a background
even a simple one will do. and to left the background just black is a bit off. maybe gradients will do?
but other than that, nice job :D -

Great wallpaper. It looks wonderful that you colored the eyes red, that gives it some appealing look. I prefer the version with the gray background, cause the black one's a little too empty. But this is a job well done. :)

I always notice this blur trend you have in your walls, it's nice in some aspects
but for this it's definitely something you want to keep out. It should really be more chrisp and clean,
takes away from the dramaticness of it when it's too blurred to see much, you tend to focus more on the blurred
spots than the wall itself you know?
Other than that, it's a pretty decent and simple wall. Vectoring is nice, looks clean and smooth. -
