Hi!
Thanks to ellaborn for this awesome scan (found on AP)!
I just like his face expression... really! So I vectored it.
Since I thought about the Bg (lot of different versions, as usual!) and I chose make something "unstructured"
in keeping the checkerboard theme (darker here!). I finally emphazised the atmosphere (light, colour sheme, saturation
and contrast).
I hope you'll like it!

This is probably the first time in a while where I really think you embraced the advantages to vectoring. You have put much more care in to balancing the contrast of the piece: darkening the background from the white checkerboard it used to be gives the image a rich feel, and it makes the guy in the in the image more luminescent and ethereal looking... but without being blinding, which is always awesome <3 The only thing that strikes me as needing work are the lines on the trim of his coat in the bottom-right corner of the screen; they looked rushed and jagged, and the width of the trim isn't consistent. Other than that, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Ps- Are you using the pen tool to vector, or something else? o_o

I absolutely agree with ArtificialRaindrop and i too must say it loud. Your wall is gorgeous and astonishing! Brilliant choice of colors!

I'd prefer a different and more imaginative color palette. I'd suggest that you'd generally experiment a bit more. The results you could get! The vector is great though so that's just a suggestion. Anyhow I am really surprised by your productivity! Don't you ever get tired?

you've finally figure out how to capture the movement in lineart and shapes that make vectoring so effortless as a technique. I also like where your head is at in terms of composition, but in the future you really need to consider lighting and saturation. even if you are going for a "desaturated" look, you need some parts that are slightly warmer + brighter to give the image depth. right now the flatness of the colors makes it difficult for you to leverage the full potential of the scan
