The trumpet goes BEEP~ when you are a fuzzeh creature. At least, this is my theory. Not much to say; fairly quick project. I love Ghibli stuff if you didn’t notice. I’ve been designing this in my Totoro hat I got a few days ago from my lovely roomate~ Just liked the original scan a lot and had to do something. For your perusal, an uncolored, textless version. Just the lines basically~

EDIT: I've been receiving (at least on AP) a lot of comments on my choice of a white background. Too plain, not good for a desktop, etc. While I very much respect your opinion, I think the white background is just fine. The bulk of the time (vector aside) was spent on the background itself. I tried various colors and tried adding other text and other design elements, but it just felt that I was compromising what was already there just so I didn't have "blank" space. I like the space, though. It highlights the little totoro and keeps the focus on that corner. Adding more would have been distracting and basically ruining my intentions for a simple, but brash, wall. And as for it not looking good as a desktop (for larger resolutions), I must also respectfully disagree. I tried it out of my my desktop (which is fairly long), and I think it looks pretty nice. Some things are made to be (and are better when) simple.

xxKurumi makes "simple" stylish with her latest wallpaper. I love the bright colours and the typography, and also the way Totoro is vectored using bold and dynamic outlines that reminds me of ink pen. Clean but eye-popping, this makes a great desktop wallpaper!

This is a great example of how simple and clean wallpaper can be done well, and that white space can be used to your advantage =D I love the way you lined Totoro, as well as the textures on him and the text :D
