Announcement : Dissidia Final Fantasy 2 is annonced by Tetsuya Nomura.Maybe it will comes 2011 in Japan.
Hope,we don't have to wait so long.
Playable should be Kain(FFIV) and Lightning(XIII).

Yup ^^ The new Dissidia 012! Tifa Lockheart (FFVII), Kain (FFIV) and even Lightning (FFXIII) are the new protagonist in there. No results in antagonist yet. Kain is for speed i think and Lightning you could do paradigm shift with her. There will be commander, ravager and medic for her ^^
