Code Geass, Mutuality (Clamp). Wallie #1.
CL’s “Tell me what you mean” contest entry.

They were my favorite pair (after Lelouch and C.C.) before that tragically episode. Sleep in peace, dear Euphie...
I thinked about title after look at overleveling original scan (I did it for right coloring Euphie’s dress). The meaning I picked after finishing wallie is peace which might be in the earth, but for reaching it all people have to wish it. (I can’t write better meaning XD)

Step-by-step.
At first I saw this scan in MT and decided to vector Euphie and Suzaku (Lelouch and C.C. are coming soon). I did lineart and coloring with usual shadowing/highlighting, but it seemed too sharp for me, so I a bit blurred it (if you want it, I’ll post wallpaper without character blurriness). Also I increased contrast of some parts. Than I colored lineart and began making background. By the way, backgrounds are my eternal problems, ‘cause I always haven’t any ideas for it. After 8th attempt I took rest and searched for ideas in MT gallery. And finally (ZOMG!) I found this scan and painted clouds from there. Maybe this one looks a bit weird ‘cause I don’t painted clouds before ^^”
Textures and cloud brushes found here and here.

Also this wallie is entry to celestial-luminesse, vectory, clamp-a-holic, vector-wallers, colorfull-wallies and my-maiden.

Total time: 3 weeks.
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS4.
PSD size: 10 mb (lineart) + 9 mb (coloring) + 30 mb (final version with background).
Layers: 1208 (lineart) + 302 (coloring) + 21 (final version with background).
Easiest part: their eyes.
Hardest part: Suzaku’s clothing.
Funniest part: Euphie’s dress.
Most annoying part: painting lineart of Suzaku’s clothing.

Thanks to all for comments and/or favs ?

P.S. My English is too bad T_T

Somehow i find the outline too thick, reduce the crispness of the character look. I will like to see the outline without character blur... Maybe it will be better..
And the background is too simple. I suggest vectoring some birds or flowers to fill out the space...
other than that, i like the colour scheme u choose.. It look really sweet!

agree with what epsilon said. It would be much better if the BG is something conceptual. Like in a gazebo, a garden or something that will put emphasis not only on the wall but the character and the theme as well. but i like the shadings though some were a bit messy. still a nice piece. nice job!

i love the soft colors. just like what others stated above maybe a different backgground may suit this better. but overall you did a great job! *two thumbs up! :)
