As I became a fan of Valkyria Chronicles (game and anime series), I remembered some fans talking about what it would have been like if the storyline happened in something close to present day. Some people even wrote fics with Alicia and co. in our time. So, I took the initiative to draw Alicia with a modern soldier's equipment like the ones we have in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the result is astonishing.
