I can hardly believe I have finished this, considering I had to wait five minutes everytime I only changed the screen mode. I said I could work on this PC, but I didn't mention it's so so very exhausting!
Anyway, I'm nor really sure where this idea came from, suddenly it was here and I liked it. I liked the feeling of a huge leaf filled with various little animals. Plus, I've been in love with this scan since the very first time I saw it.
There was again a lot of painting and vectoring and painting, but mostly painting, ha ha. You can see the scan below:

its really green and earthy. and it really evolve far from the scan.
vectoring and painting is neat as always. the embossed animals are great as well. oh how i love the ants there.. (though
i usually hates insects and bugs).
my only critique are the position of the lizard on the wing,
and much more striking concept might be nice for the scan.
but overall, its a unique piece. good job!<3
I love spring, and to see such a lively and green wallpaper that remind me of those bright and warm days of May. I love it, and I will probably put it on my desktop in the sad days of November, when I tend to forget that someday, the spring will come back ...

this is a really beautiful piece, this brilliant color scheme is kind of out of your repertoire but you've done it very well. i do think some of the edges are too "gray" as if you put a gradient over it, to make things darker you should really use cooler colors rather than desaturated ones. i also think that while the rest of the piece has this very flat, dreamlike texture that works, her hair could have used a little more dimension, to pull focus.
i love the way you've interpreted this scan: where the original expressed freedom and flight, this one seems more like shes falling and more vulnerable.
