Something about Alexiel being highly isolated from what's going on around her through the most of the series (and, according to the memories of other characters, through her whole life as well). I tried to make the contrast between her figure, being grayish and calm, while the background was meant to be extremenly dynamic, almost violent, containing various shapes. Colours, red and blue, are referring to the Hell and Heaven. Maybe staying "grey" was the only way to fit both of those places?
A3, Koh-i-noor watercolour paper 250gr, White Nights watercolours, Rotring black and white inks (applied with drawing pen).
