This is a submission for Daystar Design’s Anniversary Bishounen Contest. I'm entering this along with my Bakuman wall. I haven't sent them in yet (xP); I have until the end of this month,though, so it'll be entered in plenty of time.
Anyway, about this wall...
I found this render, and I absolutely fell in
love with the character, lol. And, I thought it would be an interesting wall to make. However, I'm not entirely
satisfied with the way I cut him out; it's like he has glowing edges in some spots, especially with his hair. I
didn't really notice them once I added a few elements with the background, such as the clouds and the smudging with the blue. I tried to cover it
up by erasing certain spots and such. I had to also blur his face and neck, because there was too much noise and
sharpness.
The clouds were actually much more pronounce when I started off, and the wall was much greener. When I added the lighter blue/green brushes against them, they appeared way too sharp and I began not to like them so much. So, I brought down the visibility, and I smudged more blue all the way across the wall. Also, the bubbles I got from this Kuroshitsuji render. Then, for touching the colors up, I added some vibrance, saturation, gradients, and photofilters.
