In my book, everybody who did a vector from a CLAMP scan deserves an award for his/her patience, at the very least! But the result is stunningly beautiful ;) Thanks for sharing!
Artist Comment
Hi, everyone. This is my newest vector, that is based on this scan:
Details:
1. Time of composition: 15 hours.
2. Number of layers: around 20.
3. Difficulty: the part more difficult was the character's hairs, of course. They are too long XD.
4. Vector:
- Hairs: first I've traced the lines, after that I've filled them up with a color. Second I've used two more and darker colors for the shadow effect. In this part I didn't follow the scan very much, infact I've chosen how do by myself.
- Skin: After the trace-lines creation I've used a color to filled the trace up and on a second layer I've used a darker color that I've smudged to have a more realistic shadow effect.
- Cloth: I've traced the lines and colored with the pen-tool mask, I've used three colors.
- Ears: I've traced and colored it. In one layer I've add the pink shade effect and in the other I've smudged the gray color.
- Background: I've create the pattern and I've used it to fill up the background layer. In a second layer I've add a color and overlayed to create a different row. At least I've add the text.
