The eyes are my favorite feature in an anime character. Like you , I love drawing eyes showing expression. You picked some really nice ones. Crying and longing eyes are my favorite. Eyes are windows to the soul. Thanks for posting it.

Kohaku is an angel, so she isn't really a guy or a girl, but someting in between. But she's closer to a girl, it' true. So you can think of her as a girl. I do. You see, in Japanese pronouns are not necessary and are rarely used, because using them is thought rude. It's like, say, 'Where's Kohaku?' - 'Went to the garden.' Who went, it's clear, so the pronoun is not used. But other languages are not like this, so we have to use some pronoun. Why not use feminine pronouns for people who seem female then?
