I love the Hikaru vector, but I'm not a fan of the bg, it's too simple and the colors don't harmonize with Hikaru very well.

Hi everyone, for this wallpaper I've used this scan:
that I've vectored. The tech. that I've used was without trace-lines, I've worked only with pen-tool create-mask and I've defined the colors and the position of lights and shadows. For the background I've used a texture and I've created some irrigular white trace-lines. So I've positioned the character in the right position to create a sort of jump propeller effect. After that I've overlayed this layer with a second texture (circle lines and paints behind Hikaru's head). At least I've painting some part and I've overlayed on this layer a multicolor shade. On this layer I've applyed the spiral-deforme filter.
