Clean lines, great group composition, and technically flawless delivery of the characters makes this a keeper. I especially appreciate each individual's mannerisms and facial expressions. This is quite a superlative effort.

As for Asuka's name change it may just be to ve home that this is an alternate Evangelion. Also, in fanfiction isn't it usually when Asuka is introduced that the plot really starts to change. The name change may be homage to that.
