Old WIP dug out and finished, yay!
Letsee, I started this thing in April I think. I've wanted to wall this scan of Yuki for the longest time, 'cause I love Otaku!Yuki (rabbit earphones! <33 ), and I love Noizi Ito's style of Yuki. So I started vectoring it. The original idea was vector/paint the scan and make a scenic wall, but halfway through vectoring, after I finished the flat colours, I thought it looked pretty cool, so I thought "abstract wall yay!"
But it was hard fitting a vertical vector into horizontal wall; at first I thought to rotate her, but couldn't get a good angle. So I kinda put the wall aside. Meanwhile though, I started making a new layout for MT with this vector, and just started adding random stuff. I think I was in the "omg I love Rainbow!" phase (probably from doing Paint-o-rama's layout XD).
So the layout was done soon after ( Userpage<-- look, it's rainbow! ) it was sort of a combo of experimenting with CSS and wanting my page to be more Rainbow! XD
But the wallpaper was put aside for a long time.... So then I thought, why not just use the layout design for the wallpaper? So I extended the rainbow and added some rainbow music notes (the notes were in my original idea, along with some curvy designs that I scrapped).
I think I was also in the "experimenting with halftone" mode when I started this XD

Really like this one. Good balance of simple colours with a really nice render.
The rainbow colours make the translucent menu bar on OS X look really sweet as well.
