I was hesitating a little to decide if I prefer it with or without text, but after a while the version with text looks definitely better. Part of it is the credit is muck more 'stylish' incorporated into a title logo of sort (and smaller!). But the text adds a touch more red, which was what your monochrome was playing off so nicely.
