The Battle For Konoha has begun
I wanted to show a simple black and white / grayscale wall of Naruto and his best friend / arch-rival, Sasuke. Overall, the gist of this wall is that the war of this two characters, everything is as clear as black and white. Naruto was once deemed as the abomination of his village, hated and feared, but eventually he would be redeemed and be called his village’s savior. Sasuke on the other hand, was one of Konoha’s finest. Amidst the facade of talent and skill, the hatred he harbors runs deep. He would eventually be hunted down by his village and despised as an opposer. Now, I’ll run through the details of the wall.
CHARACTERS: I made the characters by combining two different images. Naruto’s came from a dvd cover I saw online. Sasuke’s taken from a chapter cover of the manga. I had to do some manipulation to balance the shadowing of the two (Sasuke originally had little shadow). More manipulating was also done to make their hands “meet” (Sasuke’s hand originally appeared going to the right and Naruto’s hand had a shallower angle). Another important point in the wall are the eyes. They convey a lot of emotion between the two characters. Simply putting them in B&W will not do the wall justice. The red patch around Naruto’s eye has to stay, as it is the symbol of his attainment of Sennin. This goes, as well, to the blood coming from Sasuke, as it conveys his acquisition of the Mangekyou Sharingan. I desaturated them a little too, as the early version was too bright. These are their best weapons yet. I motion blurred their hands to put some action and intensity.
BACKGROUND: The background was vectored from stock photos of bamboo forests as well as leaves. I put them in decreasing layers and opacity to make it look like it was vast. I also put a black to white gradient to make the forest look ominous. The original style for the forest was based on Nysha’s original work seen in Deviantart.
TEXT: The text was given to me by a friend I made on the net. He gave a good rendition for the wall and all credit goes to him (Thanks JD)
