Hello Minitokyo users! After a looooong break from wallpaper making, I'm back with this new wallpaper from a game I've been playing recently: Oboro Muramasa (or here in France it's called "Muramasa : The Demon Blade") on the Wii.
**I just updated the wallpaper!**
Detailed info about this wallpaper:
Resolution: 1920x1080 for 16:9 monitors, 1920x1200 for 16:10 monitors, 1600x1200 for 4:3 monitors and 1280x1024 for 5:4
monitors
Number of layers: 26! (Gimp file size: 29.4 MB)
Time spent: First version: About 45 min for the character extraction then ~1.5 hours for the rest of the wallpaper.
Second version: An additional 5 hours because I redid the background from textures extracted from the game.
Scans/stock used: this Momohime scan which is
a fanart from the mangaka Tatsuki Amaduyu, textures/background extracted from the game itself (done using Dolphin the
Wii emulator), 2 textures from this Flickr set (freely distributable and
usable)
Tools/techniques used: GIMP only, using the Bezier path tool for extraction, and several color adjusting filters along
with a technique i created on my own to create a light bloom effect.
My goal here was to show the resolve of Momohime/Jinkuro when they start searching for the sword that will allow both of them to survive. Well to understand that you'd have to play the game :P (I didn't finish it yet though so I don't really know if it will be an happy end for Momohime and Jinkuro).
I modified the wallpaper and I think the composition is much better now, with correct lighting plus the funny swords at
the top and bottom and stuff.
I hope you will enjoy this wallpaper and I would like to receive some constructive criticism so I can improve this
wallpaper and make better ones later.
Here is a version without any logo. It creates a weird empty space but you could use it for your icons for example.
Here is the 1st version (some people may prefer it):

Very cute! I really like it.
Ireally liked how the image (como dices combinar en ingles?) fills the background and the swords in the upper part and the lower part are also fabolous. Very good job!
SO COOL! *two thumbs up*
Can I request? Can you make a Momohime-Torahime sisters wallpaper too?
I haven't seen any wallpaper like it? I'm planning to cosplay these characters with my close friend; I'll
be Torahime (if fate allows it)... (n_n)
