Artist Comment
1600 and 1280 res available at pixel ellipsis, as always :]
Yusuke Nakamura is one of my favorite artists, ever. So in a way I never thought I'd end up walling something of his, because his artwork is just - perfect. What is there for me to add? But after I saw the first round theme for the MT K.O. Competition and stared at this gorgeous Yusuke Nakamura scan sitting pretty on my AP scan wishlist, I sighed and proceeded to wall it. It was the perfect scan for this round, not just because I adore the original artwork so, but also because I love to read x]
The original scan from Nat was so clean that I basically vectored straight over the scan, with very minor CGing here and there :D The right side of the wall turned out to be a bitch because I freehand-vectored all the extensions from scratch... whatever that means. AKA I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to make sure my vectoring matched with the original artwork, and my clouds and rocks don't look like ass >_> But at the end of the day, if you looked at this wall and thought that this was one huge scan, or something along those lines, then I accomplished what I set out to do. Because Yusuke Nakamura is love <3
I actually spent quite a bit of time on the skyscape because I wanted to make sure the cropped 1600 and 1280 versions don't look like crap, and I ended up tweaking some of the clouds a bit more so all three versions are actually all slightly different ;D
P.S. To the judge who suggested blurring the vector bits - THANKS. Awesome suggest which I carried out in this final version - wished I thought of it earlier! xD;

In a fantastic way. Singularity of posing and as the foreshortening for viewing is chosen is pleasant. Through doors it is quite original

this was the work where i'm like "just who is the artiste"? i didn't seem in the style of Yusuke Nakamura at first glance. does he have an art-book?
overall i like your extension but i wish the text was relegated from the left (inside door area) and right and ended before the middle area there.
as far as a desktop it seems to work better on a windoze machine than mac since i keep the toolbar to the left.

I really like this wallpaper at first glance. I was like "uwaaah..." over the concept. At first I thought all the elements were from different scans and you placed all of them together in this one wall. o.O
Nevertheless it's the kind of wallpaper I'd put on my desktop mainly because it's so conceptual and the colours are pleasing to the eyes. Me likes <3

beautiful. I like the hand-drawn look of it and lack of colours (the bits of red and blue are great). fav <3

Wow! The way you "expanded" from the original scan was pure genius.
It looks beautiful, great work!
