I wanted to do something with boxes.
Yes. That literally was the first idea I had when I was watching a JCPenny commercial and thought, "Ooh! Neat box layouts! I want to try!"
I decided to use this picture because it lent itself to the idea so neatly. In this wall, I was able to maintain the original idea of the image (Sakura in front of a collage) but add my own box layout to it. Also, I absolutely adore this image (from the cover for Kino no Tabi DVD 6/Japanese release) because it's a sweet, soft image from a bittersweet story. I really like Sakura's character and admire her strength and respect her decision.
Although originally the wall was tan, it slowly turned to rose as I sampled more colors from Sakura's dress. It makes sense, and goes well with the rest of the image.
And yes, this is the exact same canvas pattern on a bunch of my other Kino walls. Why mess up a good thing? Note the logo and text? Same exact idea as well. I think it gives my Kino walls (in this style) a nice connection to each other.
The title comes from the name of the story that Sakura appears in. I couldn't fit in the "Tomorrow Never Comes" part in the title box though ^^;

    The bg with the boxes looks great, but the character picture stands out a lot and also its extraction is not as good as usual.

    Aye, Noctum picked it first. XD I was going to say maybe put a tiny brown outer glow on her or something. It just seems a little sharp.
    Though the boxes are really sweet, and the crops in them fit well like memories. :) And yeap~ you've really hit on a winning formula with that texture/logo. XD Good job, and keep 'em coming!

    really nice wall...was looking for one w sakura on it..... anyway, the canvas effect u haf been using on ur kino no tabi walls is one of the reasons i keeo a constant eye out for any new walls u might haf! ;)
