This is my Round 1 entry for the Knockout! competition. And what a mighty first round. I honestly did not expect to make to round two. Wow. @_@
There's nothing really to say about it. I found a rad pic of Meiko on Danbooru, and lined it. Then I did what I did. I was originally going to do some FANCY vector with a SHAMNCY background.... but nah. Also, I was listening to a lot of techno and electronica subgenres. To me, the color scheme of white, grey, magenta, mustard yellow, and blue are techno colors.
The theme of the first round was "welcome to my world". Some of the judges didn't seem to get my take on it, and that's my fault. The world I chose was the world of my inner thoughts - which are riddled with conflicting thoughts and ideas - my own type of insanity. The text I chose to represent that included a summery of OCD, explaining the physics behind super massive black holes, incomplete bath equations, a bullshit recipe, some random sentance I made up, as well as broken grammar structures. Why I chose text to represent my world, is because I'm primarily a writer - it's how I express myself. So if one knows me, the theme was probably easy to get.

That really was one hell of a competition, I'm still reading through all the entries now, atm. Sad I didn't make it to round 2, but I'm not complaining. I'm too lazy. XDI have to say, kickass wall, love the design, though I did agree with the comment about the lineart being too uniform. But still, it's awesome. I love this.

Lol, it's still a very funky wallpaper regardless :P I got it, though the made up sentence did confuse me a bit lol (one of those things that had to be explained, or known in advance, perhaps?) Either way, not a biggie - and great work ^^

I just love the simple colours you used here. They look so cool with the bold lineart and neatly designed texts, though yeah the texts shouldn't be overlapping 'cause it's somewhat confusing. But nonetheless - it's an awesome wall.

I love the colour scheme, simple and clean, and very bold. I also like the colour out of lines thing, it's fitting for a chaotic-themed wall.
I don't really like the overlapped text at the bottom though, it's a bit too messy and unnecessary imo.... I also think the line could be a bit more varied in weight (a lot of the parts look kinda stroke-pathed...) to add to the dynamicness and chaos,

I love this, seriously. Love the funkiness, love the colours and love the use of text. Ah damn that's Meiko. Though I do find the text a bit too spacey and too uniform. And I don't get the 3 words that are coloured and their connection but heck this is really my kind of wall. <3 Nice job on this one.

i love the line art with simplified colors. the 'ink jet' color scheme is always a fun one. makes printing easier too. i love the bath equations... hahaha. can it be simplified to shower curtainxwater+soap=clean? lol. proof read your description! you know i love you. hahaha. great wall.

haha; music themed wallz scored pretty high- lol. i like the recipe for disaster on the left there: 1 stick of dynamite, ..., mix and eat. lol
my main crit: is first the megaphone (circle section) is way too jagged and contrasts the relatively smooth base paths. also the spacing of the type is far too great and the font isn't well suited here.
but yeah congrats on the win.
