this is the best color work i've seen you do. the fullview is not as stunning because there are a few messy places here and there in terms of technique (esp in the foreground). in that sense it looks a bit incomplete but aside from that its really beautiful work and i like to see you making better use of colors.

Now...........I totally FAIL OTL
Like I said in my previous work, I'm making things difficult for me on purpose in order to improve my skills. And
so, last time the challenge was doing trees;
This time was to make a nighttime scene with trees! But more like a forest...which equals "leaves" in which I
totally fail. And I'm not really satisfied with the outcome orz

Original Luka image came from the manga (since Eeva-chan
is basically vectoring every single image and so I don't know anymore what's left for me *cough* XD)
Did some changes here and there; colored on SAI (thank you Erika-neechan for giving me SAI +.+) and then back to
Photoshop for blending and lighting effects.
Made the background from scrath even though I had to look up for a reference since it was my
first time doing something like this.
I wanted a night, dark looking atmosphere but I needed a light source other than your "everyday" moonlight so
I picked some fireflies. I think that's my fav part of this work (besides Luka that is <3)
Some parts of the lighting are looking a bit flat to me but I reached my limit x_x

I love your color use and idea for the bg! *___* Though like vitaa said, upon fullview it's not as impressive because the strokes are still a bit unrefined, the lighting (esp his skin could be darker ) could be improved, and more fireflies could be added to the foreground in front of him and to the side of him near those green highlighted spots. (like I said on ap) But you've definitely gone in the right direction, I just think it can be pushed further, then it would really kick ass. :D (I guess this is why I could never finish a wall in one day lol)

Wow this is such a vivid wallpaper. I love the theme, his heartbroken gaze makes it all the more enchanting. Great job on the vector, he appears refined to perfection, but my favorite aspect is his hair, I love how you blend the colors to give it such a realistic feel. Splendid background! The fireflies are a terrific idea, they do so much in contributing to the theme. The colors are amiable and gives the wall a nice warmth, very nice blending. I love the overall presentation, undeniably an attractive wallpaper, thanks so much for making and sharing it.

Didn't think I was going to like the green but in full view
it's gorgeous. Lol, I kept thinking how bad I'd be freaking out if
I saw that many fireflies near me.
