Ah~ I Finally finished =D I'm so happy that this is done and over with.
Size: 1943x2500 which is half the size I actually vectored at. I've noticed that the bigger you start, the better off you are with the final if you make it like half the size. Then all the small mistakes are NEARLY as visible as they were before. Anyway, there weren't that many layers because there aren't that many colors on him actually. Heck, I even had a few multiple layers for one color and I still only came up to 19...but oh well, a vector isn't made by the number of layers....right? .___. So this is my 6th vector! Yay! Well...it's only the 3rd I've submitted, but that's because I tend to forget to submit things sometimes. However, I was really excited with this one so I wanted to share it.
Now, I'm nothing amazing with vectors, but I will say this is probably my personal best so far... I think the halfing the size helped a lot as well (hide the small mistakes! woot!) but I also paid more attention as I was making it and fixed as I went along, no rushing or half-azzing it. The time I spent on it...well it's about equal (or more than since I worked on this in class too) 140 episodes of One Piece. Rewatching the anime while vectoring was a big inspiration to keep me going and to get this vector done.
I used Paint Shop Pro 8 (yeah I know it's old now...but it still gets the job done!) to vector and a tablet laptop for the first half. For some reason, I actually found using the finger moving pad thing to be easier to work with at times than the pen and tracing like normal...Eh... Either way, I'm done, I'm submitting, and I hope someone makes a wonderful wallpaper.
