Tip of the day: Smile. It makes people wonder what you're thinking.

This is something I started during Christmas break. Didn't know where I was going with it until a couple of weeks ago when I decided I would try to do a leather chair backing. One thing led to another, and I ended up spending a good deal of time on it.

Since this piece was meant to make myself do something I've not before, I'm not looking for that much critique on the finished product. There are several things wrong, but I don't care. The wood grain turned out great, Euclid actually decided to work with me for the first time in a long while (stubborn avatar...), and I'm really proud of that chairback. Not to say crit will be turned away, but I'm just not going to go back and fix this piece.

And no, this will not be colored more than it is already. I'm enjoying the greyscale stuff I've been pulls out.

Enjoy!

Media:
Pencils of various hardness (though mostly just a mech pencil, an F, a 4b, and an Ebony)
PSE3 for tint

Came out really nice! Good job capturing all the textural details with the pencils.

The king with the ragged hat ^_^... weird contrast between the middle-ages gear and setting and the very modern glasses !

Anyway, great pencil work, shading is awesome. I'd love to see that one colored. Just one thing, his nose bone might be too 'long' (oh well, whatever !).

    Thumbs up :D

PS i'd love a chair like that ^_^'
