That's probably the most ridiculously long title for a drawing that you might've come across in your life. I agree with you right there, but I just can't find any title suitable for this. All the titles that came into my head concerns moon, but that's just not the main point in the picture. <.<

Of all the drawings that I've done so far, I'm extremely proud with this one mainly:

1. This is an attempt to draw Shunpei's extremely complicated details into every object drawn.
2. It's 2 years old. o.O and my second round of painting. I was close to finishing during my 1st round but my old laptop decided to shut down and not waking up forever a year ago, making me extremely disappointed and depressed at that moment.
3. Couples fandrawing! I may not look like it but I'm a huge celebrant for OkiKagu love. If you guys have read a few doujinshis of OkiKagu by manna, you would totally agree to this coupling. Manna writes awesome storyline for OkiKagu, and they're beautifully written. <3

Shunpei is <3

Is Shunpei a female or a male? Liking an artist with an unidentified gender is a risky business, no? Actually I was attracted to the complicated world of wizardly details of Shunpei after Misa walled her SAYOUNARA which was walled for the final rounds of W.A.R. back then, and I was just blown away. Shunpei kneads sensible definitions into her world of complicated-ness, and Misa gave the magic touch by giving a very refreshing palette of pastel colours and a very beautiful story of journey; it was my starting point basically.

This drawing borrows the settings of the aforementioned wallpaper and also some elements referenced from another wallpaper also done by Misa, tripod baby, especially the dangling semi-transparent thingy to make the story a bit more mystical.

To put it less essay-ish, the story celebrates the love between the moon goddess Kagura whose moon provide endless water that forms the sea for the land and the King of Lands Okita whose blowpipe paints beautiful stars to the plain nightsky.

Lots of songs came into mind when inspiration started kicking in when I first drew this. But the major song being the Yue Ya Wan by F.I.R., a Taiwanese music band which won award for this amazing song. It's got some nicely done music video for this song as well, go check it out!

Besides a personal entry which I wanted to submit for Valentine's Day, I also would like to dedicate this piece and the song to my friends Evelyn and Hiong for their cute relationship. Yue Ya Wan is their love song, they said. :D

Lol I thought that this was Shunpei inspired and then I looked at the description XD This is really nice work :3 I think I should be inspired enough to finish my own Shunpei doujinshi... I don't think it'll happen though Dx
Anyway, I like the colours, composition and the details :)

I like the concept Sofie! ;) the colors and the details are great! I dunno if you purposely did the body proportions of the chars that way but it suits the art itself. :)
