Happy Belated B-day Sinever & Omone (Jess)
Geez, I think this is the first time I wanted to kill Kobato...
Scan used:
Tina vectored and colored the vector, she removed the hat although
I kinda wanted it...but agreed to just leave her without it. Tina was actually going
to kill the PSD but when I saw it I thought it would make a wonderful present for Sinever/Omone
and asked her to let me see if I could help it XD
I worked on it for about 2 days or so, made the BG from scratch (structure).
The bushes and grasses in back are a brush, and the sky was painted by me.
125 Layers used, I enchanced Kobato's eyes and added more shine on her hair.
Slapped texture which complimented the bushes/structure and did my usual gradient finish.
Tina's words:
I always found this Kobato scan adorable, I'm glad I got to vector it and very glad Melfina took the initiative and made a nice background for it. Hope it makes a good bday gift. enjoy it.

Lovely~ Love the vector. Love Kobato-chan's right hand... great outline vectoring! Although I think I want her hair colored like in the manga than the anime. The rest of the colors are love because I love spring colors! Good Job Kitten-san and Tina-chan!

the structure in the back definitely needs more yellow around the highlights, right now it looks too gray compared to everything else. and well you know i'm gonna complain about the light rays but i'll do it anyways. they are too uniform and they should fan out as they go down and get more transparent as well. furthermore, they are too white and wash out the vector.
but all in all its a really cute wall -

It really looks nice but I have a few complaints....The flower ball that's in the front at the bottom right, the color seems off compared to the others. Someone forgot her eyebrows...Just something I came across. Also, I thinkt here should have been more layers of the grass...There's only a front and a back except around Kobato herself (the dress, it's 3 there but 2 for the rest instead of like 4-5) The outlines of the yellow part of her dress should be a bit darker. In my honest opinion, I thinkt he fluffy dog is the best things out of the whole wallpaper. Not does it only keep the beautifull "soft" style of Kobato (agreeing on the hair, soft pink fits her better, it more of that Kobato feel) it also looks more detailed than anything else. + fave
