If you're an older waller, or just hang around AP a lot you'll recognize this style from Gid's All These Things That I've Done wall. It was done a long time ago, but even now it's been inspirational :D.

Made for the 2010 Vector Wallers New Years Resolution Challenge!
There were a few (or more than a few) resolutions in this one...
- To make more colorful wallies :)
- To try out different styles that jump out of the box (this time it was Gid-inspired)
- To go for adventure (i.e. trying things at least once)
- Finally wall some of the anime/series I've been obsessing about (that's what all those signs are)
- To work more in Illustrator instead of exclusively in Photoshop

First wallpaper I've seen with this artwork that's actually very appealing to me. I love all the bright colors, though the fluffy clouds seem almost out of place, amidst the hard angles and smoothness of the rest of the wallpaper. But still +favvss <33

Oh my I love this, I love the bright colors and the idea with the words and images on the different color signs, and the image of spike from cowboy bebop on the bill board is so creative. I also love abstract this is to. But I also agree with Bern maybe the clouds could look a little more vectorish or abstract to match the rest of the wall. But besides this I think this is amazing and so creative I love it.

no effing way you actually made something for the contest!
i dont mind the form of the clouds, i do somewhat think that you should have just copped out and used makoto shinkai artwork since the bottom part is too white imo. i think the cross sign is off in perspective but other than that great job

When i saw this i thought it was Gid's wall that was just modified but its not.
I like it more since you added some of the signs and make it more colorful.
Nice scan used as well it really fits the whole concept. Overall i love the

Discovered the original artist from Asian Kung-Fu Generation album art. There is something refreshing about this 1960's modernist style with an Asian twist.
