It's almost the end of January, and I haven't finished any walls. If I wanted to yell at sailorchiron if she doesn't stick to her resolution and not look like a hypocrite, I need to finish something this month XD
This one was the closest to being finished, so I dug it out and made myself finish it. I started this.... working file says "July 31, 2009", but I have a feeling I started the vector earlier than that and just saved as a different file...

I think I finished the vector some time in December (yes it took me that long 'cause I literally worked on it a bit
at a time). I had this vision of something abstract, like the girls are flying out from the city and all in your face. I
think I kind of achieved that (still looked better in my head >< )
The city is actually the City of Townsville from the original Powerpuff Girls that I vectored off a screencap from the movie (which, while looking for screencaps of Townsville, I got sidetracked and ended up watching XD).
My original idea had Mojojojo, or Mojojojo in his Mojo-robo, flying away from the city, like the girls just defeated him. But it didn't look the way I imagined... so instead I just had the star because bad guys become stars as they fly off into the distance when they're defeated, right? XD
Did some experimentation, mainly, using text as textures. The building texture is composed of the Closing theme of the original Powerpuff girls, and the circle behind it has lyrics from the 2nd opening of Powerpuff Girls Z (Jig the Upper). I originally wanted those textures to be in the actual background, and a lot bigger so you could read it, but decided it didn't look good. The flying trail textures has the girls' names on them in a font I think suited them.
Unfortunately you can hardly see the texture in the smaller resolutions (I worked big this time), nor my signature, which is why the smaller resolutions have extra signature on them... T__T

I like how the fly away from the city. Ala PG style (old school). It makes me wanna watch it all over again (some episodes, at least... heh)

Hahaha I agree with Prooof, the star reminded me of team rock being blasted off XD. But wow the text sure does look nice :). I like how the wallpaper itself is soft on the eyes and not too bright. Great~
