Sucky title, sucky wall, lol.
This was done for the Secret Santa challenge on EDD. I had Kitten, so I chose something she would (hopefully) like.
Vectored the girl from this scan. Removed the other girl and the bunny and er... "fixed" the missing part of her dress.
All in all, definitely not my best wall. Sorry Kitten ;_;

Simplicity can go a long way with a lot of walls. When done properly, a wall with a minimal amount of visual imagery can convey just as much as a wall cluttered with an immense background. That's what I immediately think of when I see this wallpaper.
I've never seen Kobato before, but considering it's from CLAMP I'm sure it's great. You chose an incredibly cute scan to use and you also did a great job vectoring it! I'm also glad that you removed what you did, and it also needs to be noted that you did a good job on fixing the dress too! Along with the fact that you removed the guy, you were able to give the scan a whole new look.
Now, I know you don't consider this your best work and I do agree, but I also don't think you should be so negative on yourself about it either. While it may not be your strongest entry, it certainly isn't lacking and shows a great deal of talent. The cherry blossoms were a great feature to the wallpaper and taking a minimum approach to the amount you put in allows us to appreciate it on a greater level, while using the magical circle/incantation design below her gives a whole supernatural feel to the wallpaper, as if she's summoned the blossom. That alone makes this wallpaper kick all kinds of ass. It's truly a Christmas miracle, so to speak xD.
Overall I really like it. It's to the point, clean and cute. It's something I could easily keep on my desktop for months at a time and even enjoy looking at it during the peak of summer. I'm sure Kitten absolutely loved this wallpaper, but at the very least I can definitely say that I do.
