Alice Margatroid & her (I believe) companion doll , Shanghai form a (I believe , again) very famous game , especially in Japan , called Touhou .
This is a request art from a friend of mine from Gendou.com .
I don't know how to document details as to how I did this one (digital art) , so if you feel that there's anything you need to know of which is not there , feel free to tell me , and I'll add them up ^^ .
Details :
- Modified fan art from a game (see top)
- A4 size , approximately 3500 x 2500 (Original size , horizontally)
- 100% digital (complete version)
- 85 - 100 layers (Is this normal ?)
- Line art (as guidelines) as the foundation , completed with Photoshop CS2 in CMYK mode (converted to RGB to meet
requirement)
- Brush Tool (all sorts , mostly the airbrush tip) , Blur Tool , Pen Tool (Book) & Magic Wand Tool (I believe that
is all , not familiar with Digital Art Tool stuffs)
- Done in about 2 months , including those 'wasted' times - pulling my hair off out of frustration

Artist's opinion on this piece :
After two long months of intense pain & frustration , struggling like a living fish dancing on a hot frying pan , trying to get out , to get it done properly , I can finally be able to upload it (for now) . But I might tweak it overtime (If I feel that it's not good enough to me , or to the others) , but for now , I'm okay with the outcome considering it's my second time (I mean it , this is my VERY second piece when it comes to digital art ._. . You REALLY want to see my very first attempt at it ?) . So , I'll leave it as it should be (Too tired to fix it . Too many mistakes done in this piece :/ . I'd rather learn from the mistakes done in this one and fix it on my next one)
..... I feel like Shanghai is not well done there ..... *sigh*

Really nice! I can see that you worked hard on this. I like the colors against the black and grey, and the artwork you did...is awesome. It seems blurry without any hard outlines. And your first piece is awesome! I love those dangos!
