i certainly commend the departure from your normal multishading, it looks much more spontaneous and interesting. the
background is really great and well vectored.
i will point out a few technical mistakes. those shadows running across his sweater are messy and break from the
defining of shadows that you had done before it. and the strands in his hair overlap too much to really make it look
like hair. vectoring hair is one of the more challenging aspects of walling because the tendency is always to overlap
shadows when really they shouldnt overlap when trying to create flow.
overall though i'm very glad to see someone who has used a style so much break free from it. nice job

I'm making a new entrance to the group Chamber of Kings. Sorry if I'm late. I know I was invited long ago but I wasn't really sure if I'm going to make male wallpapers. And for this, my New Years resolution is to make more Bishounen Wallpapers! So this is also a submission to Vector Waller's Contest.
It's quite odd to submit autumn color scheme during this time but I just can help love the scan with the lovely background. I wondered the gallery and found this really cute bishie (although it's yaoi) so I vectored Shinobu-kun. I love his name, which means Ninja... and he's a terrorist. "Please take responsibility. Fall in love with me." *kawaii!* I never thought of watching yaoi but I followed Shinobu-kun in the anime (only his part in the Junjou Romantica series).
I tried to put efforts in the background... I really hope to do more backgrounds. However after vectoring the outlines and adding the base colors, I got stuck... how an I going to color it using vectors? Probably it's easier to think painting it but I think I want to stick to my multi-shade vector style. (Maybe I will re-make it using painting style.)
My Walling New Year Resolution:
1. Make more Bishounen wallpapers
2. Improve making backgrounds
3. Improve multi-shading vectoring
4. Improve coloring

Great wall, neat vectoring and awesome colors.
I wish his face wasn't painted though, it's too smooth compared to the overall sharpness.
The text looks nice, but the color is distracting. Indeed a dark one was needed for the text to be legible, but it throws off the color balance. -

The first thing that really caught attention in this wall is the bg. It is perfectly vexeled, I love the choice of the colors, very autumnal. I like how you used bold white outlines instead of the black ones. The text is kinda distracting there, it stands out too much. I think it'd be better if it was red-brownish or if it wasn't there at all.
As for the the vector is good but as Saku mentioned his face shouldn't be painted. It clashes with sharp lines from the rest of the wall. I really wish that the eyes were more defined, they look really blurry now.
Solid wall otherwise :) -

This one is so interesting.
I love how you added the plants of the original scan to the background of your wall, and what's specially amazing is the style you used, the white outlines plus the shading is perfect.
As vitaa already said, this is such a nice departure from your previous style! It's refreshing.
I agree with trofi about the text, maybe making it a reddish or brownish will do the trick,Other than that, I love your new style (and your resolution is pure <3)
