This is a poster I drew for a contest, featuring Hibird!
As my aunt used to own a small gift store in a mall, I knew first-hand how much retailers look foward to the Christmas shopping season. Sales would jump as people started shopping for gifts, and that is what this poster is about.
Almost everything is done from scratch
Bird is my mascot for this years Christmas season; I drew him in Illustrator based off a manga scan (time: ~1 hour)
Laptop is also drawn in Illustrator, based off a stock photo (time: ~2 hours
Window and background scene outside is heavily abstract, also vectored in Illustrator (time: ~1.5 hours)
Wall, text, sticky notes,stars, calender are drawn/rendered in Photoshop (time: ~2 hours)

Hibird! So cute :)
Yeah, the laptop can look a little more 3D or metallic... the scene outside the window can also be a little further for better effects :x But I love your idea ^.^
