haha my feeling is that the background should still be darker--it kind of blends too much right now with the background
of the icons. the big splatter in the back looks.. greyer(?) than the rest of the wall. i think you should give it a
little more red or purple
but i do like how this turned out! yay for abstract and +hl@vw'ers

This was supposed to be a quickie in between midterms and classes but somehow, it ended up being stretched over a period of a few weeks. O__o
Either way, I'm happy I finally finished it because I was stuck on a BG for those few weeks. I knew I wanted to make all four of them and keep it simple and dark and monochrome but no matter what I tried, nothing seemed right. Until I raided DA and downloaded some awesomesauce brushes. XD
The characters were vectored from multiple DOGS scans I found on the net, with the addition of those brushes, some blending modes, effects and adjustments with colors and saturation.
Thanks Vitaa for the suggestions and advices; believe it or not, they were helpful. XD
This wall is dedicated to AssasinXXX because he's awesome and because he needs some love and cheer in his life. So, cheer up, Poops! Don't make me fly all the way to you to clobber you on the head! < 3

Lovely monochrome piece
I would have enjoyed some texture on the BG though to take away the sharp-ness of some of the splatter

neat design, and I like the greyscale; splatters look nice, though the grey brushstroke at the very back looks slightly blurry compared to the other sharp splatters, as if the brush has been enlarged ^^; or not made to be used in such size.. you could probably do without it actually, or make it sharper somehow >__<

I love the background and the splatter. I know that Haines hair had to be hell to vector, because I've done that image too. The only thing that would have been better is to add color here and there so the characters stand out more. I see you posting on livejournal in the dogs section. I joined that community too.

I need to comment properly once in a while too .__.
This wall looks really great, I like the monochrome colors of it. There are a few things bothering me though. First thing, the bg should be darker imo, it blends too much with the vector colors atm. Second thing, some of the splatters look low quality & blurred compared to vector's sharp edges.
