Starstruck - Lady Gaga ft Flo Rida. Good song, good song. Concept + title derived from the lyrics.
Dedications: Happy birthday to Trofi, Lacus, Yamaro + Fran! I know Yamaro + Fran's birthdays are in like a month, but I don't know how busy I'll be around then and I knew you all like Gokudera ;D So I figured this would be a good opportunity (and tell me I'm getting the dates right, I keep worrying I'm like 7 months early). Trofi, this is why I didn't show you any previews or anything xD. And I know Lacus loves pink :P
And props to Kara as well, you probably copped most of my ranting about this XD.

Initially, I was going to make this wallpaper in Vocaloid's famous "Love is War" style. I had finished outlining Gokudera and painting his skin when Tama-Neko submitted her wall (http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/423332). I was a little deterred, I mean, I idolize her works and it just looked x100 better than anything I could ever pull off. After a lot of panicking, I decided that I'd change my idea.
So I went with apple's iPod 8). I love their marketing campaigns. Alright, so there isn't a silhouette or anything and really, it probably doesn't even look like anything apple would make but there's an iPod in it xDDD. Although after I made the ipod I was stuck for more ideas, so I listened to my iPod and got the theme "starstruck" 8)
I outlined Gokudera spread over a day, the painted his skin + hair. I have abused the gradient tool so much, haha. I loved the pink (it was an accident, initially it was going to be a green wallpaper) and stuck with it. I messily vexelled his clothes and added a million patterns.
The background was a creative accident, as usual. I love my splatter brushes and logically overused them. I started to outline Gokudera messily and liked the effect, so I went with the scribbly handdrawn look. I polished it off with a few sparkles and more gradient overlays and patterns.
Oh and look, there's negative space! Not completely, but better than usual xD.
