So, this had been naggin at me since the beginning of the Zanpakutoh arc, and here it is.
Total work time was around seven hours
EVERYTHING was vectored by me, mostly from snapshots. The zanpakutoh is from the ending Mad Surfer, The faces of Snake
and Chimpette from episode 233 if I'm not mistaken, and Hihio Zabimaru came from the movie Fade to Black (when Ichi
and Renji go to rescue Rukia). Renji's face comes from an old scan, no idea where it is.
I worked a bit on Renji's eye. The first scan I vectored had very LQ, but I found a cleaner version and played a
bit with some details and gradients.
The original version had a more visible Zabimaru but I was toggling with layer visibility and I thought Renji looked
awesome against the blood-red BG, so I played a bit with merging effect and this is the result.
