It's been almost 4 months since my last submission, so my skills may have gone a little bit rusty. I got kinda bored of vectoring and im pretty much hopeless in the painting department. So i decided to experiment on stocks once again. This wallpaper is something similar to what i've done in my previous wallpaper which is stock image + blending. I love working with final fantasy scans because the characters are so much easier to blend in with real stock images.
The buildings were taken from this, this and this. And the main background stock was taken from this while the main character image was taken from this pic. Getting it all to blend in together was a bit of a challenge. But what was even tougher is to get the lighting to look right. I had to edit the wall so many times because of that. orz
Big thanks goes out to alenas, asa, tsu and saku for their helpful feedback. Extra love for saku-mon for providing the japanese words.Textless version and Smoke Version. Because Saku insisted on smoking buildings! xD
Btw the poem by Robert Frost "The Road Not Taken" suddenly popped in my head when i saw that road there. So it just stuck as the title. Lol i remember how i had to study that poem back during my high school days. I feel old now. .__.
